Dr. Charles A. Montorio-Archer Esq. As the Interim Executive Director of Congo Square Theatre Company, Dr. Montorio-Archer brings decades of experience and a deep commitment to fostering creativity, inclusivity, and community impact. His role at CSTC focuses on guiding the organization through a pivotal moment, ensuring the theatre’s mission thrives and remains at the heart of the Chicago arts landscape.
In his broader work as an Executive Coaching and Design Consultant at Casey Family Programs, Dr. Montorio-Archer is at the forefront of developing leadership models tailored to child welfare leaders, with a specific focus on empowering diverse voices in executive roles. His leadership extends across sectors, where he has consistently turned organizations around through innovative strategies, community engagement, and by reinforcing the importance of mission alignment.
Previously, as Interim CEO of St. Mary’s Home for Children, Dr. Montorio-Archer led a successful restructuring that strengthened governance, compliance, and operational excellence. During his tenure as President and CEO of One Hope United, he steered the organization from financial instability to unprecedented success, broadening its reach and community impact. Additionally, as the Co-Founder and CEO of The Thrive Network, he spearheaded service expansions and secured critical funding through a strategic merger, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the organization.
Dr. Montorio-Archer holds advanced degrees in law, public administration, and leadership, alongside certifications in Six Sigma and Corporate, Ethics and Health Care Compliance. He currently serves on several boards, including the Illinois Commission on Poverty Elimination and Economic Security, where his expertise in governance and advocacy continues to drive systemic change.
